Paying more on a plan than on pay as you go

Ovo has become so bad for charging our EV that we are going to switch supplier. We activated the Premium Plan (with the most miles possible) but we've already used all the miles, which means we are now paying for charging at our standard kw rate. This will be more expensive than if we'd stayed on pay as you go (even after the price increase). It makes no sense when the plans are supposed to save us money. After the plan miles are used, others should at least be charged at the pay as you go rate. It's such a shame we will have to switch now.
